FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

There are no desks in rows facing the teacher standing at the blackboard. Indeed, there may not be a blackboard. Groups of children ranging in ages are working on joint projects. Some are more engrossed in their work than others. Some are sitting at tables or desks grouped together, while others work on the floor with multi-colored materials that draw their attention like a game. The teacher’s voice is rarely heard above that of the children talking quietly to each other as they work. There is a steady hum of activity throughout the classroom.

For the Pre-Casa / Toddler program, your child does NOT need to be potty trained. For all other programs, the children DO need to be able to go to the bathroom independently. Some assistance may be given, such being helping with buttons on pants or changing, but each child must be able to go by themselves.

All of our teachers are fully certified, MACTE accredited teachers, and have completed anywhere from 400 hours to an entire year of in class observation and training. As well, all of our teachers must have at least 5 years of classroom teaching experience in order to teach at Prestige Montessori.

Unfortunately, we no longer offer part-time programs.

Pre-Casa / Toddler – 1 to 5
Lower Casa – 1 to 8
Upper Casa – 1 to 10
Lower Elementary – 1 to 15

In order to begin the registration process, first contact the school office to book your personally guided tour. During that tour, you will meet with our Head of School, and will be given a registration package. The type of program you are looking for, will be discussed, and then a tailor made package will be designed to meet your specific needs. You will have all of the information with you once you leave, to make your decision.

Yes, our school has a mandatory uniform policy. This policy was put in place in 2011.
